3 weeks ago I was at the national Consorium for Integrative Medicine meeting near Portland. While there, we visited the new Oregon Health Sciences University's stunning pair of new facilties. We had a dinner at the OHSU Women's Center which is in one of two $250M! buildings put up largely for their department. There is an academic building where this practice site is housed, and an office building described below. (There was a harpist at the dinner - Elizabeth will enjoy that) This Women's center has 35 exam rooms and several procedure rooms.
This all goes to show that we are one the right track but that Hawaii is falling further behind in this field at a time when we should be leading the field.
